Entries open for Apex Extreme 2008

It’s the biggest adventure competition of its kind in the UK – and you’re invited to be part of this amazing weekend of action. The event takes place from Friday 10th to Sunday 12th October in Langdale Forest in North Yorkshire.

The Apex Extreme is a tough adventure competition which is spread across an entire weekend. Your team will be facing a range of challenges while finding your way through forests and open moorland. You can expect to be rock climbing, canoeing, mountain biking, and completing tough assault courses as you race against hundreds of others to collect Apex points.

It will be physically and mentally demanding but also a great experience. With more adventure challenges than ever before, this is certainly one you won’t want to miss.

For this event we’ve decided to take the competition to our most Northerly locaction yet – the remote Langdale Forest in the North York Moors.

This year’s event will utilise full digital computerised scoring. All those soggy control cards of the past will be replaced with hi-tech microchip technology.

It’s open to all Explorer Scouts and Scout Network members from across the UK. Already we’ve got teams planning to join us from as far away as Kent and South Wales. Make sure you’re part of it.

There’s space for 70 teams to take part. Bear in mind last year’s event filled up quickly and we had to turn several teams away, so get your teams registered early.
