It’s just 50 days away – and entries open on Saturday!

Entries for this October’s massive Apex Challenge adventure event open this weekend, with teenagers and leaders from across the country devising all sorts of innovative ways to secure their places.

There are just 100 team places available for the weekend-long adventure event which is taking place in the heart of the Peak District in October. The online entry form goes live on the Apex Challenge website this Saturday (18 August) at 10am. Make sure you’ve got all your team details ready in advance to secure your place. Remember last year’s event sold out in just a matter of hours.

We’ve already heard of some groups holding ‘Apex entry parties’ where they are gathering around laptops to enter as soon as the form goes live. Another group is arranging to enter from a hut in the Alps while they’re on their summer trip to Switzerland!

Activities already being lined up for the October event will include the Apex classics of rock climbing, abseiling, mountain biking and grass sledging – together with brand new adventures including our first ever extreme caving activity. The event is open to Explorer Scouts and Scout Network members from across the UK.

This tenth anniversary event will be one of the biggest adventure events of its kind ever staged, and this weekend is your chance to be part of it.

Full details are available now at www.apexchallenge.co.uk including event details, directions and kit lists.

We look forward to seeing you for the ultimate challenge!
