Easily the most challenging Apex Extreme yet was held in Autumn 2009 when we took the challenge to Ilkley Moor on the most blustery weekend we have ever had to cope with. Almost 300 Explorer Scouts and members of the Scout Network joined us on the weekend of 2nd - 4th October.

After taking part in the Apex Intense sprint version of the event on Friday night, teams had to cope with severe weather as they tackled activity bases including a mega slide down a hill side and some abseiling. Saturday night was a relaxing chill out evening before more wet and wild activities on the reservoir on Sunday coupled with the most intense assault course ever laid on at an Apex Challenge event.
