The 2010 Apex Extreme is being held in the South West Peak District with the event centre at the Gradbach Scout Campsite. While there is parking available on site for those taking part, we would like to encourage as many teams as possible to car share to cut down on the number of vehicles entering this remote rural area.
The Apex Event Centre is within the campsite grounds (Grid ref. SJ 994659). You should aim to arrive there between 6:00pm and 9:30pm on Friday 8th October. If you arrive before that time we may not be ready to start signing you in.

Directions:
By Road From Buxton or Leek, take the A53 until you reach the secondary road for Gradbach and Allgreave (5 miles from Buxton and 7 miles from Leek). Proceed through Flash, turning left by the church, and follow the road to the bottom of the hill, past the left turn for Royal Cottage.
About 100 metres beyond this junction, bear left down a farm road, passing Manor Farm on the right. Half a mile further on bear left past the gateway to the Youth Hostel and continue up the narrow lane to the site.
As you get closer to the event, you should start to see blue signs with red arrows (as illustrated) to guide you. Due to the large amount of event traffic, we will have marshals in position to assist you. Please follow their directions to parking and drop-off zones.

After you have parked:
Please bear in mind there will be a short walk from your parking area to the event centre and the camping fields. You may need to make a couple of journeys if you’ve got a lot of kit! Please follow signs for event centre when you arrive to register with us before setting up your tents in the main camping area.
Arrangements for Sunday:
The event finishes at 5:00pm. For any parents picking up team members there will also be marshals in position to assist. Please ask them to use the directions above and then follow the advice of the event marshals.
