Directions

This year's Apex Challenge is being held at Bramham Park in West Yorkshire. While there is plenty of parking available on site for those taking part, we would like to encourage as many teams as possible to car share to cut down on the number of vehicles used.

The event centre is in a field within the estate grounds (SE 410423). Access is via the main Bramham Park entrance off Bramham Road (SE 402422). You should aim to arrive on site from 6pm on Friday 5 October. If you arrive before that time we may not be ready to start signing you in.

The postal address for this event is Apex Challenge Event Centre, Lendrick Hills, Bramham Park, Wetherby, LS23 6ND.

Directions:

The event is taking place at Bramham Park which is just west of the A1.

From the South:

  • Take the M1 or A1(M) northbound, until they merge.
  • Continue two miles on the A1(M) and take junction 44, for Leeds & York.
  • Keep left, to follow A64 Leeds.
  • At the roundabout junction with the A64 at Bramham crossroads, take the fourth exit for Bramham.
  • Continue two and a half miles (parallel with the A1), following the signs for Thorner (ignore the brown Bramham Park sign at this point).
  • Turn left for Thorner, crossing the motorway and follow this road for about a mile, around a left hand bend where the road forks.
  • As the road starts to climb out of a dip, turn left into Bramham Park.
  • After passing through the gate, follow the Apex Challenge signs to the left which will lead you to the event centre area.

From The North:

  • Take the A1(M) southbound
  • One mile south of Wetherby take junction 45 for Tadcaster & Otley.
  • At the bottom of the sliproad, take the third exit off the Grange Moor roundabout, for Wetherby & Otley.
  • Continue for 100 metres to the Wattle Syke roundabout and take the first exit to Bramham.
  • Continue three miles south beside the A1(M), to the T-junction.
  • Turn right for Thorner (ignoring the brown Bramham Park sign) and follow this for about a mile, around a left hand bend where the road forks.
  • As the road starts to climb out of a dip, turn left into Bramham Park.
  • After passing through the gate, follow the Apex Challenge signs to the left which will lead you to the event centre area.

Sat Nav:

If you're following the satnav to get to the event use the postcode LS23 6ND. As you get closer to the event site follow the Apex Challenge road signs to guide you in.

After you have parked:

We will have a one-way system in operation within the park. Please follow the signs to the event area where parking is available. If dropping teams off, you will then be guided out of the park along a further one-way system. When you've arrived, head for event centre. The team inside there will be able to sign you in and let you know where you can put up your tents.

Arrangements for Sunday:

The event will finish by 4pm. For any parents or carers picking up team members please follow the same instructions to enter and leave the park.
