Next Event Almost Full

It's only been a month since entries opened for the 2010 Apex Overnight Challenge and the event is almost full already. More than 75 teams have already registered to say they would like to take part in the event at Sherwood Pines Forest Park in Nottinghamshire on the weekend of 10th - 11th April.

The race is now on for teams who have already registered to get the cheques to Apex HQ to cover their entry fees and any T-shirts they would like to order. It's important to remember that registering your team is not enough to guarantee your place in the event. If your team is currently listed on the Provisional Team List page it means we haven't yet received your cheque and it is still possible for other teams to confirm their places first. Once 75 teams have confirmed their places then the event will be closed to any other entrants.

It is still possible for you to register online to take part in the competition. Just fill in your details on the online entry form and send your cheque to us as quickly as you can to make sure of your place.

We're very busy planning a record number of activity bases for this year's competition which is taking place in a newly enlarged playing area. Our biggest ever inflatable assault course is already on order and with some of the other challenges planned this is an event you won't want to miss. Send your cheques in now and make sure of your place!

Please note: We currently have a technical problem with displaying full details on the website from teams which have entered the event since Wednesday 24th February. The team list is up to date online, but the full details for teams are not all currently shown. Please be assured that we do have all your details and are aiming to have them online as soon as possible. Thanks!

Dozens enter next event in first week

There has been a record number of teams entering the next Apex Challenge event after entries opened only a week ago. More than a third of the places in the Overnight Challenge have already been claimed.

It's one of the biggest events in the Scouting calendar and this year the competition takes place in a newly enlarged playing area at Sherwood Pines Forest Park on the weekend of 10th - 11th April 2010.

The extra space has made it possible to increase the event capacity, so with 75 teams now able to take part we're expecting up to 300 Explorers and Network members from right across the UK at what is widely regarded as one of the top events of its kind in the country.

Expect more than a dozen exciting and challenging activities including the event's biggest ever inflatable assault course and an exhilarating high level ropes course alongside many other bizarre and extreme challenges.

Entry is in teams of four and works out at just £12.50 per person for a team of four, including all food, camp fees and activities making the event incredible value for money.
Check out the event details for more information, then gather together your team of four and enter online before the event fills up. You won't be disappointed!
