The Apex Challenge competition in 2017 was cancelled due to circumstances beyond the control of the Apex team.
Making the decision to call off the event was not easy but it was necessary, partly for financial reasons. As we had been unable to secure the necessary permissions for the playing area, we were at risk of spending money on an event that may have had to be cancelled at greater financial loss further down the line.
As a result our latest annual report is much shorter than normal though it does outline our plans for the Apex Challenge to return in 2018 and explains what impact cancelling the 2017 event had on our finances.
